Examine Yourselves

A reflection on faith, repentance, and spiritual self-examination

2 Corinthians 13:5

“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves.
Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.”

1 Corinthians 6:9–11

“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived…

And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified…

Revelation 21:7–8

“He who overcomes shall inherit all things… But the cowardly, unbelieving… and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire…”

Reflection on True Faith

This passage emphasizes the seriousness of self-examination for those who profess faith.
True salvation is not only a matter of belief but of transformation through the Spirit of God.

Scripture consistently teaches that genuine faith produces repentance, holiness, and a changed life.
Grace is not merely forgiveness but also transformation.

The call is clear: to live as new creations in Christ, bearing the fruit of the Spirit and walking in obedience.

Titus 2:11–14

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that,
denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly…”

“Examine yourselves…” — A call to sincere faith and transformation.
